Our Office
Dr. Darren Ravassipour
After
growing up in beautiful Wenatchee, Washington, Dr. Ravassipour received his Bachelor’s
of Science in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound, followed by post-graduate
study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Tar Heels!). Dr.
Ravassipour graduated in the top 5% of his class with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery
and Masters of Science in Orthodontics. While in college he was co-captain of
the tennis team and actively involved in student life.
Dr. Ravassipour has published articles on a variety of orthodontic topics
and has volunteered with the Head Start Programs to develop a program for oral
health education. His commitment to our community also finds him actively involved
in the local Dental Society (serving as President in 2007) and Rotary Club.
Dr.
Ravassipour and his wife, a rare Rogue Valley native, are the proud
parents of Reid and Piper.
The Team
Dr. Ravassipour and his staff are passionate about helping you achieve
the most beautiful and healthy smile possible. We offer our family of patients
a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and with over 60 years combined experience, the
Ravassipour team prides itself on developing treatment and managing even the
most challenging orthodontic cases.
Ivy, Treatment Coordinator
Her title may be Treatment Coordinator, but it really doesn’t due her
justice! From assisting with orthodontic procedures to managing the office, Ivy
does it all (and has done so for over 30 years)! When not at the office,
Ivy and her husband John enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and riding
motorcycles. Fun fact: Ivy loves the Supremes and dreamt of joining the group ‘back
in the day.’
Diana, scheduling coordinator
Diana’s
calm and compassionate demeanor and love of working with patients comes from
nearly a decade of experience in both front and back office roles in the medical
and dental fields. When not at work she can be found on a sporting field cheering
for all her boys – sons and husband included. Fun Fact: Diana is closet
Harley Davidson gal!
Mari, Appointment Coordinator
Mari is the ever-smiling face that greets patients and coordinates the administrative
details of the office. When not at work she loves nothing more than spending
time with her husband and daughter, and is actively involved in the children’s
ministry at her church. Fun fact: Mari was once the mascot for Boise State University!
That’s right, she was the “Bronco on the blue turf!”
Tami,
Financial Coordinator
Tami is the grace and poise that manages our office financials and insurance
billing, as well as assisting with new patient exams. Her comprehensive background
includes over a decade of experience as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant.
Outside the office Tami loves the outdoors and sharing every moment with her
daughter. Fun fact: Tami is a passionate world traveler, with India as one of
her most memorable destinations.
Carissa, Orthodontic Assistant
A rare Rogue Valley native, Carissa has worked in orthodontics for nearly
7 years. She says spending her days with our patients is the highlight of her
job as an Expanded Function Orthodontic Assistant. Away from work she loves all
things outdoors – camping, rafting and hiking -- but most especially being
Mom to her wonderful daughter. Fun fact: Carissa shares the same birthday as
her father!
Amy, Orthodontic Assistant
With
more than 6 years of experience as an Expanded Function Orthodontic Assistant,
Amy says she loves her work – and most especially working with patients
young and old! She is the proud Mom to one daughter and is expecting a son very
soon! Fun fact: Amy lived in South Africa for years just prior to returning to
the Rogue Valley!
ALI, Orthodontic Assistant
Ali is a University of Oregon graduate (Go Ducks!) who is enjoying her new
career as an Expanded Function Orthodontic Assistant. When not at work she enjoys
running and ‘hanging with friends.’ Fun fact: Ali is our Midwest
gal, having been born and raised in Kansas.
tamara, Orthodontic Assistant
With over 3 years of Orthodontic Assisting experience, Tamara is currently
in the process of completing her Expanded Function certification. Go Tamara!
Having grown up in Phoenix, AZ, she recently moved to the Rogue Valley and says
she feels so fortunate to be raising her two children here. Fun fact: Tamara
confesses she is a closet singer and loves to sing while driving!
Lori, Laboratory Technician
With
more than 7 years of specialty experience, Lori helps with our orthodontic appliances,
retainers and models. Lori, along with her husband and two boys, enjoys all things
outdoors: hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. Fun Fact: Lori loves to arm wrestle!
(And if you’ve
seen the ‘guns’ on this girl you know she’s good at it too).
