Our Office
Dr. Darren Ravassipour
After
growing up in beautiful Wenatchee, Washington, Dr. Ravassipour received his Bachelor’s
of Science in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound, followed by post-graduate
study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Tar Heels!). Dr.
Ravassipour graduated in the top 5% of his class with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery
and Masters of Science in Orthodontics. While in college he was co-captain of
the tennis team and actively involved in student life.
Dr. Ravassipour has published articles on a variety of orthodontic topics
and has volunteered with the Head Start Programs to develop a program for oral
health education. His commitment to our community also finds him actively involved
in the local Dental Society (serving as President in 2007) and Rotary Club.
Dr.
Ravassipour and his wife, a rare Rogue Valley native, are the proud
parents of Reid and Piper.
The Team
Dr. Ravassipour and his staff are passionate about helping you achieve
the most beautiful and healthy smile possible. We offer our family of patients
a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and with over 60 years combined experience, the
Ravassipour team prides itself on developing treatment and managing even the
most challenging orthodontic cases.
Ivy, Treatment Coordinator
Her title may be Treatment Coordinator, but it really doesn’t due her
justice! From assisting with orthodontic procedures to managing the office, Ivy
does it all (and has done so for over 30 years)! When not at the office,
Ivy and her husband John enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and riding
motorcycles. Fun fact: Ivy loves the Supremes and dreamt of joining the group ‘back
in the day.’
Diana, orthodontic assistant
Diana’s
calm and compassionate demeanor and love of working with patients comes from
nearly a decade of experience in both front and back office roles in the medical
and dental fields. When not at work she can be found on a sporting field cheering
for all her boys – sons and husband included. Fun Fact: Diana is a closet
Harley Davidson gal!
Mari, Appointment Coordinator
Mari is the ever-smiling face that greets patients and coordinates the administrative
details of the office. When not at work she loves nothing more than spending
time with her husband and daughter, and is actively involved in the children’s
ministry at her church. Fun fact: Mari was once the mascot for Boise State University!
That’s right, she was the “Bronco on the blue turf!”
Mollie, Financial Coordinator
Mollie coordinates the practice’s financials and insurance billing. She holds degrees in both Human Communications and Psychology from Southern Oregon University, and says she very much enjoys the people portion of her job. Mollie is proud Mom to three beautiful children. She and her husband share a passion for ranching and hope someday to own acreage with plenty of room for the critters they love. Fun fact: Mollie can plug her nose with her top lip, but says she’s too embarrassed to demonstrate this skill while at the office!
Carissa, Orthodontic Assistant
A rare Rogue Valley native, Carissa has worked in orthodontics for nearly
7 years. She says spending her days with our patients is the highlight of her
job as an Expanded Function Orthodontic Assistant. Away from work she loves all
things outdoors – camping, rafting and hiking -- but most especially being
Mom to her wonderful daughter. Fun fact: Carissa shares the same birthday as
her father!
Amy, Orthodontic Assistant
With
more than 6 years of experience as an Expanded Function Orthodontic Assistant,
Amy says she loves her work – and most especially working with patients
young and old! She is the proud Mom to one daughter and is expecting a son very
soon! Fun fact: Amy lived in South Africa for years just prior to returning to
the Rogue Valley!
Lori, Laboratory Technician
With
more than 7 years of specialty experience, Lori helps with our orthodontic appliances,
retainers and models. Lori, along with her husband and two boys, enjoys all things
outdoors: hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. Fun Fact: Lori loves to arm wrestle!
(And if you’ve
seen the ‘guns’ on this girl you know she’s good at it too).
Nikki – Sterile / Laboratory Technician
Nikki does a little bit of everything at Ravassipour Orthodontics! She is from Grants Pass and completed the dental assisting program at Rogue Community College where she realized she had an interest in Orthodontics. She said she chose Ravassipour Orthodontics because of the fun, outgoing office atmosphere. Fun Fact: Nikki used to travel and play competitive volleyball while in college. She was a hitter!
Leslie, Orthodontic Assistant
Leslie's great smile and experience with children make all our patients feel at ease! She spent most of her childhood living in Southern Oregon and went to college at Southern Oregon University. When not at the office, Leslie is very busy raising her 6 children - ranging in age from 5 to 20! Fun fact: Leslie loves to decorate and shop.
